AVAILABLE ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONS

Quality Control Lab Technician Trainee

This entry-level position works under the supervision of the QC Lab Manager, gaining hands-on experience with all duties performed by a certified lab technician. Responsibilities include pulling samples from trucks, boxing and labeling samples, and learning testing procedures. Over time, the trainee will acquire the skills necessary to become certified as a QC Lab Technician, qualifying them to work in any asphalt lab across the state.

Asphalt Plant Grounds
Person

The Plant Grounds Person supports the daily operation and upkeep of the asphalt plant. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, greasing bearings, sweeping floors, managing stockpiles, and guiding truck movement. This role offers growth opportunities for individuals who take initiative, show dependability, and invest in learning plant operations. With time and effort, a grounds person can progress into roles such as Plant Operator or Plant Manager.

Asphalt Plant Equipment
Operator

The entry level Asphalt Plant Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment at the asphalt plant site. This includes maintaining material flow, operating loaders or skid steers, assisting with plant maintenance, and supporting the plant team with daily operations.

Quality Control Road
Technician Trainee

This entry level role supports and learns from the QC Roadway Technician. Duties include recording cross-slopes, collecting and organizing truck tickets, logging temperature data, and assisting with cutting asphalt cores. With experience and training, the individual will become certified and prepared to work independently in a roadway technician role anywhere in the state.

Asphalt Paving Equipment
Operator

The entry level Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating machinery like skid steers, boom tractors, and rollers. This role ensures the consistent application of asphalt, proper compaction, and jobsite safety.

Asphalt Roadway Paving
Support Trainee

The position is foundational to jobsite success. The primary responsibility is to assist skilled workers while learning about various tasks and processes. Although this role carries less direct responsibility, it is essential in supporting the team. Laborers who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic can quickly gain experience and advance into more specialized roles within the company.

Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
Trainee

This is a laborer-level position with a specialized focus on traffic safety. Duties include placing signs and cones, flagging traffic, and ensuring all traffic control devices are maintained throughout the shift. As the trainee gains experience, they will achieve certifications including Flagger, Basic MOT, and eventually Intermediate and Advanced MOT, preparing them for higher-level traffic management roles.
